Life 3.0: Protirement NOT Retirement
In Life 3.0 Ellis invites you to explore Protirement through the eyes of 100 Baby Boomers and pre-Boomers, from all walks of life; men and women who've reached the next chapter of their lives and were left wondering, "What's Next?"
With incredible insight from prominent Baby Boomers, such as classical guitarist Liona Boyd, Apple CEO Gil Amelio, National Broadcaster Lloyd Robertson, Pennsylvania Governor and first Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge, Author Anna Porter, and Rock and Roller Ronnie Hawkins, Ellis provides practical information gleaned from global studies, personal interviews, and his own life as a social worker, and retirement expert, to help fellow Baby Boomers transition from retirement into Protirement.
Life 3.0 provides readers with advice and observations from Baby Boomers, and pre-Boomers, who've already begun the third chapter of their lives, enjoying and thriving in 17 different Protirement Activities, outlined on the Protirement Checkerboard, ranging from "Seniorpreneurs" to "Travel Enthusiasts".
Using this advice, you can develop your own individualized Protirement Lifestyle Plans to help you live your Protirement to the fullest. Retirement is no longer a destination or end of the road for Boomers; it is an opportunity to find a new meaning!
Life 3.0 Workbook
Your Protirement Plan is comprised of two components: your Financial Plan and your Lifestyle Plan. Your Financial Advisor will assist you in developing your Financial Plan. MyProtirement's Life 3.0 Workbook can assist you in developing your Lifestyle Plan. Having both Plans in place will ensure that you approach your Protirement in a comprehensive, holistic manner. They are both critical to ensuring a successful Protirement.
This Workbook will walk you through a series of questions and exercises that will help you address the changes that occur during the transition process from retirement to Protirement. The Workbook can be used whether you are mid-career, five years from retiring, on the verge of retiring, or having recently retired. The questions will help you think about, and develop, strategies to deal with the three Stages of the Protirement Process.
Each Chapter of this Workbook can be done on its own and is not directly linked to other sections. You can choose to complete which ever Chapters have meaning for you. You may want to complete some Chapters before you decide to retire, and then redo them after you have retired. You may find completing certain Chapters prior to retirement helpful to your pre-planning, while preferring to only address certain aspects of the protirement process once you are involved in those Stages.
The Workbook is a useful tool for:
Individuals who are mid-career, 5 years from retiring, on the verge of retirement or recently retired;
Financial Advisors and their Clients;
Human Resource professionals and Employee Groups; and
Unions and their Members.
